          Deirdre McLoughlin was  presented the Diocesan Plaque of Recognition this summer for her special ministry in our parish and community as a Leader, Counsellor, and Spiritual Director. Deirdre’s  contribution to many organizations within the parish and the wider community has been ongoing for many years. She and husband Dermot are members of the Lay Spiritan Order.  Congratulations Deirdre!

Awarded the Diocesan Plaque of  Recognition for his dedication to fund raising activities in the parish, Murray is the lead volunteer for organizing the Annual Grand Draw of the Knights of Columbus and involved in many parish activities.

Don Plemel was presented the Diocesan Plaque of Recognition during the Annual Outdoor Mass and Fish Fry on Father’s Day.

Don was recognized for his extensive volunteer activity in the parish and his minitries of coordinating Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers.  Congratulations Don !

Margot Saari, retiring after 17 yrs as Principal of Sacred Heart School receives the Diocesan Plaque of Recognition at a special farewell Mass.

 Congratulations to Pope Benedict XVI who celebrated his 60th Anniversary of Ordination as priest on the Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul.  Our parish offered 3 hours of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on June 29th in honour of Pope Benedict and for Vocations to the Priesthood. Prayers were also offered for Bishop John O’Mara (Emeritus Thunder Bay) who celebrated 60 years of Priesthood on June 1st.
